El Capitan in Yosemite was on our list of 'must see'
Trouble is, this photo should be shown last, at the bottom of this post.
But I'll get it right eventually.... bare with me.

Old abandoned sharpening wheel in Bodie.

Tin wall in Bodie

On the way up the coast we stopped to see this cove with a waterfall.. cool

The view was just too cool. We stopped, it seemed, every 10 minutes along the way.
No wonder it takes three days to make the 200+ mile trip!

Down on the water on highway one.

A bridge over highway one.

the West Coast

Elephant seals! this beach is home to about 10,000+ elephant seals come January-February. Interesting. They smell.

Kite-Surfers. wow. They haul!

Monterey Pier side walk cafe.

Monterey Fish Hopper pier. the whole area is very picturesque.

Morro Bay and the Pelicans over head all contribute to the ambiance... cool

Morro Bay rock and the fog coming in.

Santa Barbara Mission and the Mesquite tree out front. yes, I removed the cable holding up the big branch before I took the shot ;-)
